Working Together Toward Recovery was created by an interdisciplinary team of disability, education, and psychology professionals and advanced doctoral students, in response to the need for specific training to improve mental health professionals’ abilities to provide competent, ethical services to adults with intellectual disabilities.

Project consultants, reviewers, and participants include employees and students from the Human Development Institute at the University of Kentucky, the University of Kentucky Psychology Department, the Jesse G. Harris Psychological Services Center, Kentucky Psychological Association, and Kentucky Protection and Advocacy.
